Writing to Persuade in Social Studies
Identify a key decision-maker in your community and have the students write a persuasive letter to that person to:
- state your position on the issue
- tell why it is an issue (use facts to support)
- suggest a solution with a plan of action (use facts to support)
- restate your main point
