Free resources from Nutrition Services
A limited number of materials to assist food service managers in the event of a food recall are available on a first-come, first-served basis from Nutrition Services. The materials were developed by the National Food Service Management Institute and include a leader guide, brochures and an 11 x 17 poster.
Responding to a Food Recall provides step-by-step instructions on reasons for recalls, responsibilities of manufacturers and government agencies and roles of food service directors and managers in following procedures in responding to a food recall.
This offer is available to Nebraska schools and CACFP centers. You may request your FREE set of materials from Nutrition Services by calling our office (toll-free) at (800) 731-2233 or by email . If requesting materials by email, include your name, the name of your school/center, your mailing address and the number of kits you would like.
