A limited number of materials to assist food service managers in the event of a food recall are available on a first-come, first-served basis from Nutrition Services. The materials were developed by the The Institute of Child Nutrition and include a leader guide, brochures and an 11 x 17 poster.
Responding to a Food Recall provides step-by-step instructions on reasons for recalls, responsibilities of manufacturers and government agencies and roles of food service directors and managers in following procedures in responding to a food recall.
