Nebraska Farm to School Network

We are building a Farm to School Network in Nebraska!

We are embarking on a process to learn what’s happening with farm to school in Nebraska communities and what key barriers are standing in the way. Together we’ll build a network that will take strategic, collective action to move farm to school forward in the state.

You are invited to join us at an upcoming Regional Brainstorming & Prioritizing Solutions Meeting as we continue our journey of creating a statewide Nebraska Farm to School Network.

Who: We want to learn from farm to school stakeholders across the state. This includes you, your network, school staff and administration, school nutrition directors and staff, early care and education providers, parents and community members, students, farmers and producers, aggregators and distributors, and more!

What: The Nebraska Department of Education, with statewide partners, wants to brainstorm with you on solutions to common farm to school challenges and barriers. Join these in person facilitated conversations to share your thoughts on farm to school priorities, help find ways that will strengthen farm to school activities in communities across our state, and discuss how to move Nebraska closer toward its farm to school vision. All sessions will have free local food tastings and a chance to win some prizes.
