School Nutrition Programs

The U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Administration (FNA) provides funding to support the School Nutrition Programs, and the Nebraska Department of Education administers the programs for schools and organizations in Nebraska.

School Nutrition Programs’ missions are to help ensure that children have access to nutritious meals and snacks in schools.

  • Approximately 277,000 Nebraska students receive meals annually
  • Approximately 51,650,000 meals are served annually through the Nebraska School Nutrition Programs
