Child Abuse Prevention Training-Safe with You Training

Safe With You is a training curriculum for child care providers to meet the requirements of the Nebraska State Statute 43-2606. This bill requires licensed child care providers to complete training that “shall be designed to meet the health, safety, and developmental needs of children…and shall include information on sudden infant death syndrome, shaken baby syndrome and child abuse and neglect.” The Nebraska Department of Education Early Childhood Training Center (ECTC) has developed these workshops in collaboration with the Department of Health and Human Services. Early Care and Education Management Training Program

This 8-module series, totaling 45 clock hours, is designed for early childhood administrators. It fulfills the Nebraska Child Care Licensing requirement of Child Care Management Training. The purpose of this training is to improve your business practices, policies and procedures and program operations in order to better support your staff and the children in your program. Early Learning Guidelines: Nebraska’s Birth to Five Learning and Development Standards

Early Learning Guidelines training workshops have been created to assist early childhood caregivers/teachers and other adults with information about supporting the learning and development of children. Getting Down to Business Training

Getting Down to Business training is a series of four interactive workshops designed for family child care providers on how to operate a family child care business. Learn more about Getting Down to Business training.


Home Visitation Training

In 2012, Nebraska released a Home Visiting Core Practices and Principles Online Training program, which provides information and resources that all home visitors can use. Learn more about Home Visitation Training.


Active Supervision of Children (formerly Supervision of Children)

This training covers the responsibilities, risks, and strategies of supervising young children. The Nebraska Department of Education’s Early Childhood Training Center (ECTC) has developed this training in collaboration with the Department of Health and Human Services. There are two version of this training, a Required version (for licensing violations) and a Community version (for professional development).
