About the Library
The Nebraska Early Learning Library houses thousands of books, DVDs, CDs, scientific journals, assessments, and curriculum materials that address subjects such as early childhood care and education, child development, parents and families, children with special needs, arts and curriculum support and more. The library is open to the public, including child care providers, early childhood educators, child care directors, elementary school teachers, trainers, parents, early childhood administrators, early childhood experts, and anyone else who impacts the lives of children and their families.

- Materials for independent study — a great way to earn pre-service and in-service hours at no cost!
- Free shipping and return of books and other materials
- A Technology and Research Center with computers available for research, help with NECPRS, etc.
- A dedicated family and community engagement resource section
How to Use the Library
The Nebraska Early Learning Library offers access to its resources both in person and online. Visitors have the option to check out up to three items for a period of three weeks.
Instructions for Requesting Materials Online
- First time users should complete the library patron account set-up form
- Once your patron account is set up, browse the online catalog
- To request an item, simply click on the “Request Hold” button. If you require shipping of your requested item, please indicate so by typing “ship to” and providing the desired mailing address in the “Comments” field of the Hold Request Form.
