CSI Communities of Practice 2020-2021

In partnership with the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment and with support from the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) Restart Grant, the NDE is able to offer a tailored professional learning series for our CSI schools. SchoolKit, a national professional learning organization, is working closely with the Office of Coordinated School and District, the Office of ESEA Federal Programs, and the Office of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment to create communities of practice for our schools. These communities of practice serve as an opportunity to support school teams with deepening instructional content knowledge to continue to address unfinished teaching and learning in their schools. It’s also an opportunity to engage with colleagues from across the state to engage in collaborative dialogue.

There are four communities of practice, which take place once a month:

  • K-5 Foundational Reading
  • 6-12 Older Readers Who Struggle
  • K-5 Math Coherence and Grade-level Content
  • 6-12 Math Coherence and Grade-level Content
