Data Management Committee
The Data Management Committee Charter elucidates on the Data Management Committee (DMC) that includes Data Sourcing, Data Operations, and Data Security. This charter will focus on all the key aspects regarding data management and how data flow will be managed within the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE). This charter recognizes the importance of strategic and critical need for consistent management of its data assets, to implement a coordinated and collaborative approach to oversee strategic data collection and acquisition, responsible lifecycle data management, open/transparent release of its data assets, and advancements in internal and external uses of data.
Committee Functions
The Data Management Committe makes efforts to achieve the common vision established for strategic and more effective data use. It also ensures to work towards establishing and implementing those decisions taken by the Data Policy Committee and ensure full and unhindered implementation of data governance within NDE.
