World Language Standards 2019 Cover DesignThe Nebraska Department of Education is in the revision process to update the 1997 Approved World Language Frameworks. Representatives from K-16 public and private institutions have carefully constructed a revised version that strongly reflects research and best practice. The 2019 standards draft reflects the values of the 1997 document while responding to the growing need for individuals who are able to compete in a global market, to communicate in real-world situations, and to evaluate situations from multiple perspectives.
