Decisions about curriculum and instructional materials are made locally by individual school districts and classroom teachers. The Nebraska Department of Education does not mandate the curriculum used, nor the experiences, within a local school. The resources shared are shared with teachers to increase their knowledge of opportunities that exist for the classroom; however, students and teachers should only use those resources, and only those resources that have been approved by the teacher’s school district for student use.
Health Sciences (Nebraska Career & Technical Education)
The Health Science Career Cluster orients students to careers that promote health, wellness, and diagnosis as well as treat injuries and diseases.
Nebraska Farm To School
The Nebraska Farm to School program enriches the connection communities have with fresh, healthy food and local food producers by changing food purchasing and education practices at schools and early care and education settings.

The Nebraska Instructional Materials Collaborative, the Nebraska Department of Education, and key partners are committed to providing statewide leadership that informs and supports the decisions made locally related to curriculum and instructional materials.
