Travel was difficult in Nebraska in the early to mid-1800s.  Carter Valley, which ran through the heart of current Blair, was the easiest passage through the bluffs. This book explains how Blair was born based on the location next to the Missouri River and how John I. Blair brought his railroad through. Our Community: O’Neill
Mrs. Pistulka’s 3rd Grade Reading class learned about communities and how they change over time. The class researched the history of our community, O’Neill, Nebraska through books, local experts, and a field trip to the Kinkaid Museum. Each student reported on key events from a historical timeline of our community. With the help of Mrs. Morrow they compiled their stories in iBooks Author and created this local treasure.
