Winning Every Day: A School & Comm. Mental Health Partnership
ESU #3 – September 13th
This day is designed to bring school mental health professionals together in our service area, alongside community providers, for a take on “taking a mental health day.” We focus on mental health, bringing our providers together for collaboration and fun. We play up a “Friday night lights/tailgate” theme, and it’s a great day- it’s our most attended and most requested event here! We bring in a keynote speaker. We have opportunities for a facilitated lunch group that partners our schools with community providers and time to take care of your well-being with games and fun throughout the day.

This series of 16 posters for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is perfect for printing, or for use on the web or in emails.
The “Reach Out For Help” poster describes where to get “Help for Others” (Safe2Help Nebraska), “Help for Self” (988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), and “Immediate Help” (911).
Several resources are available if you want to register your school for Safe2Help. These include a toll-free Nebraska number, an infographic on LB 322 pdf, a Safe2Help FAQ, a registration page for your school, and access to the K-12 Threat Assessment Teams website.
The good news is that schools can now register for Safe2Help without meeting any prerequisites. This means that you can gain access to the K-12 Threat Assessment Teams website and resources without any prior qualifications. Additionally, NDE, the PPC, and Boys Town will work with districts to identify times to get their threat assessment team members trained as we move forward. If you have questions or concerns regarding Safe2Help registration, please get in touch with Jay Martin at jay.martin@nebraska.gov.
