Teach in Nebraska Today Program
Pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. § 79-8,148, the purpose of the Teach in Nebraska Today Program is “to attract individuals to the teaching profession who have expressed an interest in teaching and to support the employment of those individuals as classroom teachers by providing student loan repayment assistance for service as a classroom teacher in this state.”
This student loan repayment assistance program is open to classroom teachers in public and nonpublic schools, as well as teachers employed by an ESU in Nebraska.
Some dates to keep in mind: applications are due no later than June 10, 2023; applicants will be notified of approval or denial no later than September 10, 2023; and awards will be paid no later than November 10, 2023.
