Teacher Resource Center

Do you make classroom books with your students? Do you have students publish their writing? Nebraska Department of Education would love to have YOU create an iBook to add to the NeBooks Project Library.

While this may seem like an overwhelming project, we have resources to help!

Resources

NeBooksGuidelines

  • This comprehensive packet will guide you as you begin your NeBooks Project. Get a general overview of how to do the project and see student expectations at the elementary, middle, and high school level.

  • Found a video that you want to include in your iBook? There is a letter template to send to the video owner to ask permission to use it in the iBook.

  • We want your work to be recognized, but we are required to have permission to do so. The release form allows NDE to post your completed iBook with your full name as the author, and parent approval for students under 18 years of age. The guidelines also include the same release form translated into Spanish.

RESOURCES COMING –
We will be developing video tutorials and step-by-step directions that will help you in your iBook creation. In the meantime, visit YouTube and check out the hundreds of tutorials on iBooks Author and more.
