National Standards Executive Summary

The National Standards Executive Summary is a document that was developed by a committee of the National Association of State Administrators for Family & Consumer Sciences Education.

The Executive Summary was designed so that all but one page would be consistent across the nation; one page was reserved for each state to depict the Family & Consumer Sciences Education program in that specific state. You will find the Nebraska information on Page 13 in the document. Pages 8-9 contain the "wheel" that identifies the Family & Consumer Sciences as a program area of Career and Technical Education that contributes to the career clusters and reinforces 21st Century Skills.

The pages are designed so that it may be printed in booklet format on legal-sized paper.
