SIX SCHOOLS NAMED NATIONAL BLUE RIBBON SCHOOLS

Bloomfield Jr-Sr High School in Bloomfield, Elgin Elementary School in Elgin, Mount Michael Benedictine School in Elkhorn and Norwood Park Elementary School in Lincoln have been named 2012 National Blue Ribbon Schools by the U.S. Department of Education.

Council on Student Attendance

The Council on Student Attendance was created by the Legislature in 2014 and the State Board of Education must appoint a school board member, a student attending a public school, two parents who have children attending school, a superintendent of a school district, a county attorney, and a representative of a community or advocacy organization.
