Elementary Keyboarding Workshop

Teaching strategies for incorporating keyboarding into the elementary curriculum will be demonstrated by Lisa Hanson while workshop participants have hands-on opportunities at the keyboard. The Position Paper for Elementary Keyboarding and a scope and sequence from several exemplary programs will be reviewed. Teachers will review several leading keyboarding software applications.

Target Audience

Elementary teachers, business teachers, computer technology coordinators, administrators and paraeducators involved in keyboarding instruction.

BMIT Standards Workshops

BMIT Standards Workshops

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at all locations

New standards for Business Marketing Management (BMM) and Communication and Information Systems (CIS) will be featured at the six FALL BMIT workshops. Participants will have an opportunity to work with the new standards. Sydney Kobza and Jacqui Garrison of the Nebraska Department of Education will facilitate the 9 am to 3 pm workshops that will feature best practice teaching strategies. Lunch will be sponsored by the Nebraska Council on Economic Education. Register Here
