Apply to Join the NEW District Data Visualization Group!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the District Data Visualization Group, a collaborative initiative designed to gather input and direction from school district and ESU staff across Nebraska. The aim of this group is to provide valuable insights to the Nebraska Department of Education to enhance the creation and modernization of public and secure data reports and visualizations.

As key stakeholders in education, your participation in this group would be immensely valuable. Your perspectives and expertise will help ensure that the data reports and visualizations produced by the NDE meet the diverse needs of educators, administrators, and policymakers statewide.

The District Data Visualization Group aims to:

  • Provide feedback on existing data reports and visualizations.
  • Identify areas for improvement and enhancement.
  • Collaborate on the development of new reports and visualizations to better serve the educational community.
  • Ensure that data reports and visualizations are accessible, user-friendly, and relevant to the diverse needs of Nebraska’s school districts.

We would love to have anyone interested in this group participate, but we also know that conversations and decisions are best made in smaller groups. We are anticipating selecting a group size of approximately 25 people and are seeking members who can offer broad district geographic, population, and role representation. Whether you are a teacher, administrator, curriculum coordinator, or other role that uses data, your perspective is crucial to the success of this initiative.

If you are interested in joining the District Data Visualization Group or know someone who would be a valuable addition, please complete this form. We will let you know if you are selected in the next few months, and then provide more details about the group’s structure, meeting schedule, and how you can contribute.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to shape the future of data visualization in Nebraska education. Together, we can ensure that the data provided by the Nebraska Department of Education empowers educators and drives positive change in our schools.
