NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE

The Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) is pleased to announce the launch of its newly revamped website. Visitors to the site will now have quick and easy access to essential information. The new site has been optimized to ensure a consistent, user-friendly experience across all devices, including desktop, tablet, and mobile.

The new design was created in response to a year-long process of surveys and interviews with over 900 education stakeholders invested in the success of the NDE website. The new web templates deliver consistent service site-wide and are 508 compliant, providing web content accessibility to individuals with disabilities. In addition, the website can be viewed in 14 different languages.

Information can also be accessed from multiple entry points. Users can personalize their experiences by identifying as a teacher, an administrator, the media, the public, or other audience types. A new powerful search tool allows for quicker navigation to relevant resources.  Users can search by categories of information including programs and services; teaching, learning, and assessment; operations and finance; and data, policy and research.

The new website makes it easy to find Department information, from the latest news releases to detailed reports on Nebraska schools. The new NDE website is now live and is located at: www.education.ne.gov.
