Tina Hargaden, the founder of the World Language Proficiency Project will lead a one-day workshop focusing on proficiency and assessment. Participants will learn how to teach for proficiency, guiding students to interact in the language, and using it to communicate about real ideas from day one of class. Teachers will learn how to build literacy with meaningful texts and reading extension activities. They will learn foundational skills to speak comprehensibly to students – even beginners.
