Use the table below to compare how President Hoover and President Franklin Delano Roosevelt responded to problems faced by their administrations.

Many men lost their jobs, could find no work, and could bring no income to their families.    
Many people lost a fortune in the stock market and lost their wealth.

In some regions of the west there was a terrible drought and a dust bowl. This problem occurred after Hoover left office.
