Resources for School Staff

Since students spend a large majority of their time in school, staff have the opportunity to build protective factors and educate them to prevent suicide. These resources enhance proactive suicide prevention efforts. Further information is available in the Nebraska School Suicide Prevention Resource Guide, which is updated quarterly. Hazelden Lifelines Prevention Curriculum supplemental resources: If your school has acquired this curriculum through a grant or purchased it, don’t hesitate to get in touch with NDE SuicidePrevention.gov for copies of the electronic implementation guides and presentations that NDE has developed to supplement the student lessons and training for staff and parents. (Due to copyright considerations, these resources can only be offered to schools who are in possession of the curriculum.
