High Ability Learner Accountability Visits

In order to help schools create strong, evidence-based, student-centered high ability learning programs and services, Becky Keilig is creating a process for High Ability Learner Accountability Visits, similar to the continuous improvement process.  If your school is interested in being part of the developmental stage, please have your superintendent or principal contact the HAL department at NDE.

The visit includes a self-assessment instrument, a review of the continuum of services and identification practices, interviews, engagement observations, data use and data review, and a HAL Visit Report.  The report will include a promising practice overreview, areas of growth, commendations, and recommendations. This may serve as the program evaluation for the year.
