Text-Dependent Analysis (TDA)
Beginning Spring 2018 open-ended text-dependent-analysis questions are no longer included on state summative ELA testing. ELA assessments do include selected-response items that measure the skills associated with text-dependent analysis. Beginning Fall 2018 the Nebraska Department of Education in conjunction with NWEA will be offering a series of three TDA workshops. While the TDA is not going to be included on the summative ELA test, NDE would like to engage districts in a partnership to enhance instruction for TDA across the state.
