IDEA Application
The Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) is submitting two applications to the U. S. Office for Special Education Programs for FFY 2012 funds as per the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA). Federal funds received under Part B and Part C applications are used by the Department of Education and school districts in the provision of special education and related services and early intervention services to children with verified disabilities from date of diagnosis to age 21. The applications which include a statement of assurances and funding information are available for review at three Department of Education Special Education Offices; (1) Nebraska Department of Education, 301 Centennial Mall South, Lincoln Nebraska 68509; (2) Educational Service Unit #3, 6949 South 110th Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68128; and (3) 1517 Broadway, Scottsbluff, Nebraska 69361.
The Part B application will be available for review for 60 days beginning February 27, 2012. Public comment will be accepted until March 28, 2012.
The Part C application will be available for review for 60 days beginning February 1, 2012. Public comment will be accepted until March 2, 2012.
