Verification Report for 2012 NeSA-Writing

The NeSA-Writing Roster Review is currently displaying 2012 information and can be accessed through the NDE Portal on the NSSRS Verification reports page within NSSRS Validation. The NeSA-Writing Roster Review is located under the Student Reports category of Assessment. By clicking on the “View Report” link, schools will be able to view the demographic information currently associated with each student that has some type of result from the district. An up-to-date Student template or Special Education Snapshot template may need to be submitted to NSSRS should any changes need to be made in the student’s demographic information.
REMINDER Substitute Teachers in the Consolidated Data Collection

This data collection will permit you to upload/enter data regarding substitute teachers that have already been employed during the 2011-12 school year and receive feedback on any data errors or potential violations by your school if the individual does not currently hold a valid Nebraska certificate. By uploading/entering data now, your school will have sufficient time to correct any errors or potential violations to ensure that any substitute teachers hold a valid Nebraska certificate before the data collection closes on June 30, 2012. Needs to be completed by ESUs, Public, Nonpublic, State Operated and Interim Programs.
NEW NSSRS Validation Error 471

Validation Error 471 will become active on May 21st. Error 471 Number of Students Submitted in the Elementary Class Size Collection in The CDC and ADM Should Match, compares information submitted in the Consolidated Data Collection Elementary Class Size collection and NSSRS Student Summary Attendance Records submitted through NSSRS Data Manager to insure both number match. Correction may involve updating the CDC, NSSRS or both.

The 2013 Data Conference will be held April 29-30 in Kearney, Nebraska at the Younes Conference Center.

- Submit a “Helpdesk Request” from your portal account. After logging into the NDE Portal, it is available in the upper right corner of the Collection Announcement page. This will be the fastest way to get your request to the NDE Helpdesk.
