Data

The data section provides links to a series of data resources with information concerning Nebraska career education students. Specific features include: Nebraska's new self-service Data Reporting System (DRS), the annual State of the Schools Report with details regarding Nebraska's public school and student performance, Report Cards displaying Local Education Agency (LEA) Perkins performance information, Program Improvement Plan details for LEAs performing below Nebraska's state goals, and general accountability information for secondary and postsecondary institutions.

Report Cards

This page contains Perkins Report Cards for all Perkins participating districts or institutions. The Perkins Report Card document contains student performance information at both the Local Education Agency (LEA) and consortium-level for Perkins core indicators of performance. The Report Card site houses information extending back to the 2008-2009 academic year allowing for quick access to previous performance.

Program Improvement Plan (PIP)

The Program Improvement Plan (PIP) site provides a list of Perkins participating districts or institutions failing to meet 90% of the Nebraska state performance goals and, thus, required to submit a performance improvement plan as part of the Perkin Basic grant application.

Data Reporting System (DRS)

The Data Reporting System (DRS) is both a public website and a secured website. This tool allows for access to Nebraska education data dating back to the 2007-2008 academic year. The public website masks or hides data for groups with fewer than 10 students to protect confidential information as required by federal law. The secured website displays unmasked school district and school building data. This information is available only to authorized individuals, primarily Nebraska school district and education consortium officials.

State of the Schools Report (SOSR)

Nebraska's annual State of the Schools Report (SOSR) provides information about student learning. It depicts how well Nebraska students are excelling in reading, writing, mathematics and science. Further, this report allows for the review of student performance at the state, district and building levels.

Accountability

Both accountability websites, secondary and postsecondary, are designed to provide detailed information for extracting, compiling, and submitting the necessary student information for calculating Nebraska Perkins performance measures. Two separate sites display unique information for secondary school districts and postsecondary educational institutions that receive funding from the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006.
