Eligible Applicants
An eligible applicant is a partnership that —
(A) must include
(A) a high-need Nebraska school district;
(B) an engineering, mathematics, or science department of a four-year institution of higher education; and
(C) a teacher education department of a four-year
institution of higher education.
(B) may include
(D) additional high-need Nebraska school districts, public or private elementary schools or secondary schools, or a consortium of such schools;
(E) additional Nebraska school districts that are not high-need;
(F) another engineering, mathematics, or science department of a four-year institution of higher education;
(G) additional teacher education department of a four-year institution of higher education;
(H) a community college;
( I) an educational service unit;
(iv) a business; or
(v) a nonprofit or for-profit organization that has demonstrated effectiveness in improving the quality of mathematics and science teachers.
