2011/12 Calculated Limited English Proficiency Allowance Expenditure Requirement
State Statue 79-1007.09 requires the Department to compare the 2011/12 calculated Limited English Proficiency (LEP) Allowance to actual LEP expenditures reported on the 2011/12 Annual Financial Report (AFR), Functions 1150, 4592 and 4582 for Limited English Proficiency Instructional Programs. If actual LEP expenditures reported do not equal 117.65% or more of the calculated LEP Allowance, an LEP Allowance Correction will be included in 2013/14 calculated Formula Needs. In addition to the LEP Allowance Correction, the District would not be eligible for the LEP Allowance in the 2013/14 State Aid Certification if LEP expenditures reported on the 2011/12 AFR don’t equal at least 50% of the 2011/12 calculated LEP Allowance.
For your information, we have created a report that documents the 2011/12 Calculated LEP Allowance.
School districts can use this report to help determine whether the expenditures reported on the 2011/12 AFR under Functions 1150, 4592 and 4582 are 117.65% or more of the 2011/12 Calculated LEP Allowance.
