EntrepreneurShip Investigation After School Kid’s Club Two new after school clubs called ESI: EntrepreneurShip Investigation. In the spirit of trailblazing and in honor of National Entrepreneurship Week, WNCC is offering the ESI Clubs at special pricing. The first club will be conducted in Scottsbluff at the special E-Week Celebration price of $40 for Scottsbluff students for 14 weeks. Scottsbluff DECA has partnered with WNCC and UNL to provide the recruitment and instruction for this club. The Club will span the spring semester and will end in May, culminating in a “marketplace” open to parents, teachers, and the public in which the students will sell the products and services they have been developing over the course of the Club. |

Become an Entrepreneur Workshop This workshop is a hands-on and in-depth informational workshop. The workshop offers participants a very detailed and real-life look at what entrepreneurship is, what the risks of owning a business are and how to anticipate and overcome challenges. Many of the topics covered are taught by local professionals who have experience that adds to the workshop environment. The participants will work on developing a working Business Plan. |

Entrepreneurship Workshop Series: Starting and Developing Your Own Business The Entrepreneurship Centers at Central Community College-Grand Island and Hastings are excited to announce the multiple-session workshop: Become and Entrepreneur, Starting and Developing Your Small Business. This is a practical business development education program designed to help entrepreneurs identify and acquire business skills needed to create, manage and grow a successful business. The workshop series is rotated between the Grand Island and Hastings campuses and will be held at the Grand Island Campus during the 2013 Spring Semester. You can sign up for the entire series at a cost of $305 and receive 3 college credits, sign up for the series without the Business Plan sessions (8 sessions) for $220 and receive 2 hours of college credit or sign up for individual session. Broadcast Your Business National Entrepreneurship Week Activity Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to showcase their existing or launch-ready business using rapid-fire delivery of ideas and information. Audience members will get a sampling of innovation taking place in our local businesses. Within a timed 5-minute slot, broadcasters must call the audience to action with real-time opportunities including but not limited to: trying a product, visiting a location, testing a new product line, investing or recommending employees. |
