Work-Based Learning Manual

Planning and implementation Guides for educators, employers, policy makers, and parents

The Work Based Learning (WBL) Manual focuses on developing, implementing and maintaining work based learning opportunities. This series of guides will help you provide the opportunities that make it possible for young people to gain the competence, commitment to teamwork, and problem solving skills they will need to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

The WBL Manual was developed by the Nebraska Department of Education through funding provided by the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Applied Technology Education Act, Grant #V048A1002700 and the School-to-Work Opportunities Act, Grant #9724441 with the State of Nebraska. It is the policy of Nebraska Departments of Education and Economic Development not to discriminate on the basis of sex, disability, race, color, religion, marital status, age or national or ethnic origin in its education programs, admissions policies, employment or other agency-administered programs.
