The Menu Certification Labs will be open the times stated and participants may attend anytime during these hours of operation. Nutrition Services’ staff member(s) will be available to provide technical assistance for entering information into your Certification Worksheets. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED - Please follow the steps for online registration listed in the document below. Click here to register.
Prior to Training: Be sure you have watched the three training videos on the Nutrition Services web site at http://www.education.ne.gov/ns/forms/nslpforms/Certification/Certification.html
- Get Ready for Certification: The Menu Organization Tool
- Completing the Certification Worksheet
- Simplified Nutrient Assessment
What to Bring: You need to be ready to enter information in the worksheets when you arrive; have the Menu Organization Tool completed for each day of the week you want to certify. Please bring the following records that are applicable to the week being certified:
- Calendar of Breakfast and Lunch Menus
- Breakfast and Lunch Production Records
- Standardized Recipes
- CN labels/Nutrition Fact labels for entrees and grain items for the 5-day week
Flash Drive: We ask that you bring a flash drive with you. Some of you may have started entering information so you will need to copy those files to the flash drive and bring it with you so you can continue working. At the end of the day, you will want to save your work to the flash drive to take back with you.
